Welcome to Morwellham -

The village of Morwellham was once a thriving port with copper ore mined from its George & Charlotte mine being shipped throughout Europe and it became the busiest copper ore port in Queen Victoria's empire. Morwellham is now a world Heritage site as part of the Cornwall & West Devon Mining landscape.

Entry is free for everyone to our living history Victorian village at Morwellham. Visitors can step back in time and take a tour of the village and see some traditional crafts. The Ship in the centre of the village is also a great place to pop in for a drink, snack and or mail meal. Unfortunately we will not be opening our hands on activities this year due to social distancing restrictions.

If you're eyeing a break in this leafy part of Devon, Morwellham provides camping and caravan pitches in our well maintained park on the edge of the village or campers also have the option to pitch up on the banks of The River Tamar.
