Welcome to Morwellham and the Ship Inn

for camping - riverside pub

The village of Morwellham was once a thriving port with copper ore mined from its George & Charlotte mine being shipped throughout Europe.  Morwellham now forms the Eastern Gateway to the Cornwall & West Devon Mining landscape UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Unfortunately we will not be opening our Heritage Museum and hands on activities this year due to social distancing restrictions, however if you wish to take up the unique opportunity to stay in our Village we are offering Camping and Caravan  pitches.

The Ship Inn is the centre of the village it provides local ales and beverages, with home cooked food sourced from local suppliers.

If you're eyeing a break in this leafy part of Devon, Morwellham provides camping and caravan pitches in our village or campers also have the option to pitch up on the banks of The River Tamar. For more details, availability and booking online please click here.
